About HonestSetup
HonestSetup exists because picking an AI plan got confusing. There are dozens of plans, the names keep changing, and lots of people pay for two or three that do the same thing. We give you a straight, simple answer, for free.
We're an independent company. We plan to make money from optional one-time setup kits (coming soon), not from AI companies, and no one can pay to rank higher.

Questions people ask
Do I need to sign up or give my email?
No. The quiz, your full result and the comparison are free, with no sign-up.
Do I really need to pay for AI?
Often you don't. If you use AI a few times a month, a free plan is usually plenty. Paying makes sense when you keep running into limits or need something specific, like Copilot inside Word.
How do you make money?
From two optional setup kits, which are coming soon and not on sale yet: $15 for a personal kit and $80 for a small business kit when they launch. You pay once, there's no subscription, and the kit is yours to keep. AI companies don't pay us, and no one can pay to rank higher.
Can I use the personal kit for my business?
We'd ask you to choose the business kit instead. It's built for work: it covers team and admin setup, business privacy settings like turning off training on company data, shared workspaces and a receipt with your business name. The personal kit only covers one person's own accounts, which is why it costs less. One business kit covers up to 10 people.
What if the kit isn't helpful?
Email us within 14 days and we'll refund you. No questions asked. Details are in our refund policy. Kits also get free updates for as long as we sell them, and your download is yours to keep. (Updates come when plans or settings change.)
Are these prices up to date?
We check prices daily, with source links: each price comes from the company's official pricing page and links to it. Plans change often, so it's worth a quick look at the official page before you buy.
