Terms of Use and Sale

These terms are between you and HonestSetup ("HonestSetup," "we"), operated in New Jersey. By using the site or buying a kit, you agree to them.

1. What HonestSetup is (disclaimer)

A free guide and quiz that suggests AI plans, plus optional paid setup kits. It's general information, not professional advice. It isn't legal, medical, HIPAA/compliance, security, tax or financial advice. For those, talk to a qualified professional.

2. Prices and accuracy

AI companies change prices and features often. We show the date we last checked each price and link to the official source. Always confirm on the official page before you buy a plan. We can't promise every detail is current, and we're not responsible for other companies' prices, products or policies.

3. Health and client information

Some pages list whether a provider says it offers a Business Associate Agreement (BAA). A BAA alone doesn't make you HIPAA compliant, and we don't decide whether you're compliant. Confirm with the provider and your compliance advisor.

4. Kits

• Personal Setup Kit, $15 USD, one-time (coming soon, not on sale yet). For one person's personal use.
• Small Business Setup Kit, $80 USD, one-time (coming soon, not on sale yet). For one business, up to 10 people.
• Prices before any sales tax. No subscription and no automatic renewal. You must be 18+ to buy.
• Delivery: a download link by email right after payment. If it doesn't arrive within an hour, check spam, then email us.
• Updates: free updated versions for as long as we sell the kit. If we ever stop selling it, the version you downloaded is yours to keep.
• License: use and print it for the purpose above. Please don't resell, share publicly or post it.

5. Refunds (14 days)

See the Refund Policy below. It's part of these terms.

6. Other companies' names and logos

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Grok, Perplexity and other names and logos belong to their owners. We use them only to identify products. HonestSetup isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by any of them. If you own a mark and want it removed, email support@honestsetup.com with "Logo removal" in the subject, and we'll act within 5 business days.

7. No paid rankings

No company pays for placement. If we ever add affiliate links, we'll label them clearly next to the link.

8. Limits

• We provide the site and kits "as is" and do our best to keep them accurate.
• If something goes wrong with a kit, your main remedy is a refund under the Refund Policy. Otherwise our total liability for any claim about a kit is limited to what you paid for it.
• These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them, including liability for our gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or any right you have under New Jersey consumer protection law that can't be waived.

9. Governing law

New Jersey law governs these terms. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Essex County, New Jersey, unless your local law gives you the right to sue where you live. You can also bring a claim in small claims court.

10. Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA. If something on the site is hard to use, email us and we'll help and fix it.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in effect when you bought a kit applies to that purchase.

Refund Policy

14-day refund, no questions asked

If a kit isn't helpful, you can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase (the date on your receipt).

How to ask: email support@honestsetup.com with "Refund" in the subject and the email address you used to buy. Your order number helps but isn't required.

What happens:

• We confirm within 2 business days.
• The refund goes back to your original card through Stripe. Banks usually post it in 5–10 business days.
• You don't need to give a reason, and it doesn't matter if you already downloaded the kit.
• After a refund, please delete your copy.

After 14 days: we don't normally offer refunds, but email us if something went wrong and we'll try to make it right. This doesn't limit any rights you have under the law.
